The City of Berkeley offers a treasure trove of online maps showing different aspects of the city. I love the Zoning Map and Bicycle Network maps.
A quick browse and Google of Oakland's and Albany's municipal sites suggests neither city offers a similar resource. Disappointing!

You can find it off the city website under "Living in Oakland" or enter via http://www.oaklandnet.com/maproom/cfm/navigation/disclaimer.cfm (dig the disclaimer!). Of course Google doesn't have it because the site's indexing is weird.
It's not that great but keep in mind it went up about five years ago and so was decent at the time. Also check out the Metropolitan Transportation Commission's map page at http://www.mtc.dst.ca.us/GIS/maproom.htm.
I got all excited about this a year ago when I built an online mapping application for analyzing power companies. Now I'm adapting it for an online map of public art in Oakland. Maps are cool -- especially when they show you how to find treasure.
