Pet parakeet found on the 600 block of Vernon Street. May be one of a pair. Another similar bird was found by a neighbor the same day. Please call 510 655-1281. or email eford@lbl.gov
fyi: budgies cannot handle cold temperatures, so when nights get cold, they die. please clip your bird's wings to prevent accidental escapes like this one!

thanks to the person that posted about "your basic bird" (a bird & supply store on college ave). i deleted my recommendation based on your comment and personal backchannel emails. i agree that the store has problems that i would not want MY birds exposed to, either.
Sadly your basic bird is not a good store. i worked for years at this place and you have never seen the "back room" . please do not support this store.
